Froggie is getting bigger every day and she's doing SO much now! She's really working on crawling and every time she gets up on her knees I expect her to just bolt across the room.
Today while she was playing in her pack and play she decided that she wanted to check out what was going on and pulled herself to standing! I guess it's time to lower the pack and play....

2 Weeks
Well, in 2 weeks I will be posting another update regarding Froggie's hips... We go in for an X-ray and possibly our last appointment with her doctor. Now that she's a little more mobile I worry that she may have messed up her progress. Though I suppose if she's going to do anything to her hips it's better for her to do it now before she goes in for this set of x-rays.
Let the countdown begin!

I Did It!
(9/18/2013) Well we're onto day 2 of wearing big boy undies! Big Brother woke up on Tuesday and refused to put on his pull ups to go to school. I decided to just go with it and let him wear his regular underwear since sooner or later it was going to need to happen. I figure if he REALLY wanted to wear his cloth undies that he would try REALLY hard not to mess them up!
I was (read as still am) nervous about the drive to and from work since it takes us approximately 20 minutes to get there unless we get stuck behind school buses (which happens a lot since we drive past a total of 4 schools on our way there) so he's stuck in the car with no access to the potty the entire time we're in the car. So far he's done really well on the way to school and he's been dry all day even with going into pull ups for nap time he would wake up dry and change.
Today my coworker came in with "I Did It!" stickers. Big Brother got one for his good job wearing big boy undies all day!
Once we got home and had dinner we decided to play with a slinky for awhile (they really amuse 2 year olds AND 7 month olds!). This is our Italian Greyhound Jasper sulking because he couldn't get down the stairs...

Loose Lips Sink Ships
After a lot of hurry up and wait the orders came through! Hubby will be returning to active duty as a recruiter and will be reporting this week! It is an exciting new direction for our lives and with the exception of a long stint away for school Hubby will be able to be around for family events and important milestones as Froggie and Big Brother grow up. More to follow in the future!
Tragedy in DC
If you tune into the news at all you have probably heard by now about the tragedy that occurred at the Naval Shipyard in D.C. (if you don't tune into the news and you watch Monday Night Football you may have heard a little about it before the moment of silence if you tuned in before kick off).
As it stands right now a former Navy Reservist who was working as a civilian contractor at the shipyard opened fire on his peers this morning and killed at least twelve before being killed himself by police. A motive is not currently known and a potential second shooter is being sought out.
Why such senseless violence is seen as an appropriate response I will never know but I'm sure the debates about gun laws will surge as well as discussions regarding security and mental health. All I know is that we need to be supportive of one another and allow God to work in our lives.
Though Hubby and I may not have known any one at the ship yard today personally they are all a part of our military family and we grieve for those we have lost.

And We're Mobile
Almost...
She's gotten really good at getting herself from her belly to her knees but she still gets tangled up in herself. I think in the next couple weeks though we'll be chasing her around.
I'm so amazed at the progress Froggie has made since the harness has come off. I was expecting delays and difficulties but she seems to be pretty on track. Fingers crossed that we continue to get good news at our next appointment - less than a month!
Celebration
Today was a big day - we celebrated a year of being open at work! We've grown immensely over the last year and have kids waiting to come join us as well!
To celebrate our anniversary (read as birthday) we had a huge party. We had two bounce houses, a duck pond, face painting, cookie decorating, a photo booth, a craft, balloon bubble and yummy food. It was nice to see our families come out to celebrate with us because we normally only get a chance to see parents and siblings in passing even though we spend all day with the kids.
Before families started showing up Froggie and I went into the balloon bubble - she seemed to enjoy it despite being sleepy. She was such a good little girl today and was as patient as you can expect a 7 month old to be. Big Brother stayed with my mom to take a nap and they came up later in the afternoon- he had fun bouncing and checking everything out! Here are some pictures from the day:
