Tragedy in DC

If you tune into the news at all you have probably heard by now about the tragedy that occurred at the Naval Shipyard in D.C. (if you don't tune into the news and you watch Monday Night Football you may have heard a little about it before the moment of silence if you tuned in before kick off).
As it stands right now a former Navy Reservist who was working as a civilian contractor at the shipyard opened fire on his peers this morning and killed at least twelve before being killed himself by police. A motive is not currently known and a potential second shooter is being sought out.
Why such senseless violence is seen as an appropriate response I will never know but I'm sure the debates about gun laws will surge as well as discussions regarding security and mental health. All I know is that we need to be supportive of one another and allow God to work in our lives.
Though Hubby and I may not have known any one at the ship yard today personally they are all a part of our military family and we grieve for those we have lost.
